How Much Will I Need?
Fibre-Shelkote resin is a vinyl ester based resin and is
applied first to all fiberglass surfaces. It smoothes the sanded surface and
laminates to any leftover gel coat. Most pools will require between 3 and 7
gallons, depending on size.
Swimming Pool Gel Coat is the finish
coating for all fiberglass that holds chemically treated water.
Most fiberglass pools will require between 10 and
15 gallons of gel coat for 2 coats, depending on size.
Hot tubs, spa's, and
other fiberglass containments require 1 or 2 gallons of gel coat for 2 coats, depending on size.
